• handle calls to the Clients Advisory Service: at least 900 calls each year
• arrange CPD events
• sell publications - see opposite for list and fax back order form!
• respond to enquiries from members
• arrange conciliations between architect and client, if needed
• run the Downland Prize for Architects for South East and Southern Regions
• administer the RIBA Regional Awards
• publish the Directory of Contractors and Specialists for our Members
• run the Regional Press Service - see page xvi for how to join
• publicise the activities of the Region and its architects
• co-ordinate activities for Architecture Week
• inform Members of activities through SEARCH, the newsletter and through fax and email broadcasts
• offer advice to architecture students on work experience, careers
• take a lead on liaison with conservation architects nationally
• arrange publication of this directory!
